The Greenbank Raiders rugby league club is next month hosting a colour fun run to raise funds and registrations for the club.
“Greenbank is so quiet, we don’t have a lot happening out here, so lets do a fun run,” Under 11s team manager Christine Lindsey said.
“Usually all the teams fundraise individuallly, but if we do a fun run with sausage sizzles and raffles, multiple teams can benefit from one event.
“Sometimes the funding will go towards going to footy carnivals, or towards buying the kids skins, bags for boots and things like that.”
The event will be held at Middle Green Fields on 6 July, starting at 10am.
The cost is $20 and will include: entry for one runner, one pair of sun glasses and two bags of chalk.
