Three hospitalised, three arrested in Loganlea stabbing

Three people have been charged over multiple stabbings at Loganlea on Wednesday night (8 May).

Police said emergency crews were called to a Rhodes Street property just after 10.30pm following reports that two poeple had been stabbed and another assaulted.

“Upon arrival, three people, aged 24, 49 and 41, were located with non-life-threatening injuries, and were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment,” a police statement said.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a man in his 20s and another in his 40s were taken to hospital “in stable conditions with wounds to the legs and feet”.

Three people were taken into custody at the scene, according to police.

It is believed the groups were known to each other.

Two Loganlea women, aged 57 and 29, were charged with two counts of wounding, and one count each of assaults occasioning bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent, and stealing.

A 25-year-old Kelvin Grove man was charged with two counts of wounding, and one count each of assaults occasioning bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent, stealing, possess dangerous drugs, and possess utensils.

All were refused bail, and are due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, May 9.
