An alleged armed robbery at Park Ridge last night has left a man in hospital after he was shot in the neck.
Police said a group of people armed with a gun visited a Granger Road property at around 7.40pm.
“… before demanding property from a male occupant, who was at the address at the time,” a police statement said.
A 23-year-old Hillcrest man was then allegedly shot in the neck.
“The group has left the scene soon afterwards with a small number of personal items,” police said.
The Hillcrest man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Later that night, at around 9.30pm, another shot was fired at a car in Logan Reserve.
Police said there was an altercation between a group of people on Loganview Road North in which “a firearm was discharged”.
No one was injured during the incident, and there is “no threat to public safety”.
A crime scene has been established at both scenes, according to police, and investigations are ongoing.
