Woman does yoga stretches just before robbing Melbourne bakery

A girl in Melbourne has been caught on tape stretching just before allegedly robbing a bakery.

On Monday (18 March), Phillippa’s Bakery in Richmond produced stability footage on Instagram of the robber stretching prior to moving into their head office.

“A several things ended up stolen such as some croissants which were plainly as well tempting for this versatile burglar,” the caption read.

According to Australian information website 9Information, the 44-year-old robber allegedly broke into Phillippa’s Bakery’s head business office on 3 March at close to 3am.

The woman was dressed in an all-black outfit, executing several “yoga stretches” prior to entering the premises.

Australian news site The Chief claimed that the robber stole an iPad, chef footwear, cleaning items, and croissants.

Bakery employs robbery to encourage baked merchandise

Soon after protection footage of the “yoga burglar” was produced, Phillippa’s Bakery made a decision to capitalise on its rising media publicity.

In a string of Instagram tales on 20 March, the Melbourne bakery to start with promoted the almond croissants that were being stolen.

“It’s time to stock up on Almond Croissants, like our notorious burglar,” the caption study.

The bakery then posted screenshots of the robber stretching on digicam with the caption: “You really don’t will need to be this adaptable to get pleasure from our Scorching Cross Buns & Croissants!”

Phillippa’s Bakery also designed the code “FLEXIBURGLAR” for shoppers to get 10% off when they purchase distinct baked items on the internet.

According to The Chief, the robber has been charged with theft, burglary, and going outfitted to steal.

She is set to look in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court docket in May well.
