Greenpark Garden Club’s blooming anniversary

Greenpark Garden Club Inc has celebrated its 35th anniversary, and it’s 36th year is “off to a flying start”.

The local group of garden-lovers celebrated the milestone with a huge event, inviting 31 guests from 13 different garden clubs, including Boonah District Garden Club, Friends of Greenpark Garden Club, and Queensland Council of Garden Clubs.

Guests enjoyed free gifts, insights from Scott Franklin of Pohlmans Nursery (a family-owned business that opened in 1976), lucky door prizes, and raffle prizes with almost 50 winners.

Several members were honoured with badges to mark their time with the club: two have been members since the club’s inception, three for 20 years, one for 15 years, and three for ten years.

The group’s next bus trip excursion is on Monday 22 June to Redcliffe.

The cost is $40 per person.
