2 people injured after hit-&-run accident in Geylang, police tracking down driver

Collision sends pedestrians flying in Geylang strike-&-run incident

A lookup is ongoing for a driver concerned in a hit-and-run accident in Geylang yesterday (23 March).

Footage of the accident has gone viral on the SG Highway Vigilante – SGRV Facebook website page, showing the impact that despatched two pedestrians flying and the car eventually leaving the scene.

Both equally victims had been taken to the healthcare facility aware.

According to SGRV, the incident took place alongside Sims Avenue at 11.38pm on Saturday (23 March). Dashcam footage from an additional car or truck captured two pedestrians crossing the street despite the absence of a crossing there.

Just as they ended up approaching the opposite aspect of the street, a motor vehicle came rushing down the second lane, to the correct of the dashcam vehicle.

The motor vehicle — recognized as a Hyundai Elantra — quickly rammed into the pedestrians, sending them each traveling in reverse directions.

Just one of them spun various times just before landing in the dashcam vehicle’s path. The dashcam motor vehicle managed to veer to the still left in time to stay clear of another accident and come to a quit.

Meanwhile, the vehicle, which had its brake lights on as it slowed down momentarily, drove off into the length.

Pedestrians conscious when conveyed to medical center

The Straits Periods (ST) noted that the police received an notify pertaining to an incident alongside Geylang Lorong 21 at about 11.40pm on Saturday (23 March).

A 51-calendar year-aged male and a 32-12 months-old woman had been conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Healthcare facility.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing and the law enforcement are making an attempt to keep track of down the driver concerned.
